Introduction to Digital Assistant

Sometimes, it can be hard to find the right words for your client-facing documents. A lot is asked of independent contractors, including the expectation that you not only specialize in your field, but also manage your own proposals, contracts, and business communications.

Well, Digital Assistant is here to help. If there’s a block of text you’re worried might be tedious to write, repetitive, or you just don’t have the time for, all you need to do is hit the Digital Assistant icon in the corner and the box will automatically be filled with relevant content.

Right now Digital Assistant can be found in text boxes within Contracts, Proposals, and when drafting emails on send pages.

How do I use Digital Assistant?

It’s easy! Just click on this little icon right here on any text box you see it in, wait for the request to be processed, and voila! You should still definitely review any text it creates before sending it to your clients, but it’s here to help with that first pass.

One more thing–Digital Assistant works a little differently in each tool where it's been implemented so far. The specific instructions for each tool are as follows:

Contracts

Right now, Digital Assistant can be found on Steps 3 and 7 of our Contractor Project Agreement.

It will automatically take your role, combine it with the section of the contract you’re trying to fill, and craft a summary for you. You don’t have to do anything but read it and make sure it’s what you want!

Proposals

Using Digital Assistant in Proposals is a little different than in Contracts. With Digital Assistant you can add amazing content to your Proposals quickly and efficiently.

Digital Assistant can be used on all content blocks with text boxes in Proposals. To get started, write a prompt in the content block. You want to be as detailed as possible — this will help the Digital Assistant write a better response.

Once you submit your prompt, the Digital Assistant will draft a response using the header and paragraph text in the content block, as well as the title of the proposal for context setting.

That's all there is to it! With Digital Assistant in Proposals, you can create incredible content that won't take you hours to write.

Send pages

Digital Assistant appears on the send pages for Invoices, Contracts, and Proposals to help you draft a targeted email subject line and message for your clients.

All you have to do is select from a list of options and pick the one that best fits the email you would like to send.

Digital Assistant is in Beta. What does that mean?

A feature in the Beta program is one we’re actively working on. This isn’t a promise that these features will be released right away...or at all. But sometimes we want to share them with users and receive your feedback to make sure we’re making things the right way and making the right things. Assuming all goes well and Digital Assistant leaves Beta, there’s a good chance it will become a part of our Pro suite.

Designs that do make it into the product as permanent fixtures may be modified in their final version from what you see when they’re in Beta; your feedback can influence these changes.

Did you try out Digital Assistant? If so, we’d love to hear what you think.
